Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

Preheat your smoker or grill to 225°F (107°C). Season the brisket with salt and pepper. Place the brisket in the smoker and cook for about 6-8 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C).

  2. 2

    Make the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine BBQ sauce and any additional spices you prefer. Heat through and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Coleslaw

In a bowl, mix the coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined and set aside in the refrigerator to chill.

  4. 4

    Chop the Brisket

Once the brisket is cooked, let it rest for at least 30 minutes. Then chop the brisket into bite-sized pieces and toss it with the BBQ sauce.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

Serve the chopped brisket on a plate or in a sandwich bun and top it with the prepared coleslaw. Add pickles if desired.
