Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Brisket
Trim excess fat from the brisket and pat it dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Brisket
In a small bowl, mix together kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and brown sugar. Rub this mixture all over the brisket, covering it evenly.
- 3
Marinate
Wrap the seasoned brisket in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, preferably 24 hours for maximum flavor.
- 4
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 225°F (107°C).
- 5
Prepare the Braising Liquid
In a roasting pan, mix together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
- 6
Cook the Brisket
Place the brisket in the roasting pan, fat side up. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Cook for about 12-14 hours or until the brisket is fork-tender.
- 7
Rest and Slice
Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing it against the grain.
