Margarita Preparation

1

Prepare the Glass

Start by rimming your glass with salt. To do this, take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of the glass, then dip the rim into a small plate of salt until well coated.

2

Mix the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.

3

Shake the Mixture

Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold.

4

Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice or straight up, depending on your preference. If serving straight up, you can chill the glass beforehand.

5

Garnish

Garnish your margarita with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
