Brownie Base

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter together, stirring frequently until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Mix Sugars and Eggs
In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs. Whisk together until well blended, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Add Dry Ingredients
Sift in the all-purpose flour and salt. Gently fold the mixture until no flour pockets remain, then fold in the chopped walnuts.

Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool Brownies
Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the brownies are completely cool, cut them into squares. Place a brownie square on a plate, top with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
