Boil Water
In a large pot, fill with water and add a generous amount of salt (about 2 tablespoons). Bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Cook the Corn
In the same boiling water, add the corn on the cob. Boil for 5-7 minutes until the corn is bright yellow and tender. Remove the corn and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp
Finally, add the unshelled shrimp to the boiling water. Boil for about 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Do not overcook. Drain the shrimp and allow to cool slightly.
Serving

Plate the Dish
On a serving platter, arrange the boiled shrimp, red potatoes, and corn on the cob. Serve with cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
