Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil the Corn

Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, add the ear of corn carefully to the pot.

  2. 2

    Cook the Corn

Allow the corn to boil for about 7-10 minutes, or until the kernels are tender. You can test the doneness by piercing a kernel with a fork.

  3. 3

    Remove and Drain

Using tongs, carefully remove the corn from the pot and let it drain in a colander or on a plate.

  4. 4

    Add Butter

While the corn is still hot, spread the tablespoon of butter over the corn. Allow it to melt slightly.

  5. 5

    Season

Sprinkle salt over the buttered corn to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the corn-on-the-cob immediately while hot, and enjoy!
