Fish Selection

Method

Preparation of Fish

  1. 1

    Select and Prepare Fish

Choose fresh salmon, cod, and shrimp for the event. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Cut Fish into Portions

Slice salmon and cod fillets into serving-sized portions, approximately 6 ounces each.

Marinating

  1. 3

    Prepare Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped dill, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.

  2. 4

    Marinate Fish

Place salmon, cod, and shrimp into the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for best flavor.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Preheat Grill or Oven

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 6

    Cook Fish

For grilling, place the marinated fish on the grill and cook for 4-6 minutes per side, depending on thickness. For the oven, place fish on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.

  3. 7

    Cook Shrimp

Grill or sauté shrimp for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Fish

Arrange cooked fish and shrimp on a large serving platter.

  2. 9

    Garnish

Garnish with lemon wedges and chopped parsley for a fresh presentation.

  3. 10

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot, ensuring guests have lemon wedges nearby for extra flavor.
