Brussels Sprouts
Spicy Chili Sauce
Method
Preparation of Brussels Sprouts
- 1
Clean and Halve
Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water to remove any dirt. Trim the stem ends and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Cut each Brussels sprout in half lengthwise.
- 2
Toss with Oil and Seasoning
In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
Roasting
- 3
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 4
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down. This will help them become crispy.
- 5
Roast
Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through.
Preparation of Spicy Chili Sauce
- 6
Mix Sauce Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine the chili garlic sauce, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir until well combined.
- 7
Toss Brussels Sprouts in Sauce
Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted and crispy, remove them from the oven. Drizzle the spicy chili sauce over the Brussels sprouts and toss to coat evenly.
Serving
- 8
Serve Hot
Transfer the spicy Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and enjoy hot as a delicious appetizer or side dish.
