Main Ingredients

Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the sliced lemon and Old Bay seasoning.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Once the water is boiling, add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook.

  3. 3

    Chill the Shrimp

Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the pot and transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Let them chill for about 5 minutes.

Cocktail Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of prepared horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce to taste.

  2. 5

    Adjust Seasoning

Stir well and taste. Adjust the hot sauce if desired for more heat.

Remoulade Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a separate bowl, mix together 1 cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon of chopped capers, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.

  2. 7

    Mix Well

Stir until all ingredients are well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Serve

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.

  2. 9

    Add Sauces

Serve with the smoky cocktail sauce and remoulade on the side for dipping.
