Cocktail Preparation

   Chill the Glass

   Start by chilling a coupe or martini glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the cocktail.

   Mix the Ingredients

   In a mixing glass, combine 2 oz of Maker's Mark Bourbon, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters. Fill the mixing glass with ice.

   Stir the Mixture

   Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until well chilled and diluted.

   Strain the Cocktail

   Empty the ice water from the chilled glass. Using a strainer, pour the cocktail from the mixing glass into the chilled coupe or martini glass.

   Garnish the Drink

   Express the oils from a piece of orange peel over the drink by holding the peel over the cocktail and giving it a gentle twist. Then, drop the peel into the glass as a garnish.

   Serve

   Your Maker's Mark cocktail is now ready. Enjoy it while it's cold!
