Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove. Add minced garlic, the juice of half the lemon, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to taste. Mix well to combine.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the salmon is well coated on all sides. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F or 190-200°C). Ensure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Place the salmon fillets on the grill skin-side down. Grill for about 6-8 minutes on one side.

  3. 5

    Flip and Finish Cooking

Gently flip the salmon using a spatula and grill for an additional 4-6 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your desired doneness.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Squeeze the remaining lemon juice over the top before serving. Enjoy your grilled salmon with your favorite sides.
