Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook more evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil on both sides. Generously season each steak with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Allow them to sit for 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, about 450°F to 500°F (232°C to 260°C). Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Grill the Steaks

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the hot grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them. This will create a nice sear.

  3. 5

    Flip the Steaks

Using tongs, flip the steaks and add the rosemary sprigs to the grill. Grill for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  4. 6

    Optional Butter Baste

During the last minute of grilling, you can add butter to the top of each steak for added richness and flavor. Close the grill lid to allow the butter to melt.

Resting and Serving

  1. 7

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, making the steak more tender.

  2. 8

    Serve

Slice the ribeye steaks against the grain and serve with lemon wedges for added freshness. Enjoy your juicy grilled ribeye steak!
