Muddle the Mint
In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and muddle gently with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release the mint oils.

Add the Liquid Ingredients
Pour in the Bacardi rum, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup into the shaker.

Shake the Mixture
Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients well.

Strain into Glass
Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with fresh ice cubes.

Top with Club Soda
Pour club soda over the top of the mixture to give it a refreshing fizz.
