Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Burrata
Gently take the burrata cheese out of its packaging and let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes to soften.
- 2
- 3
Bread the Burrata
Carefully coat the burrata cheese first in the flour, then dip it into the beaten egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs, ensuring it is fully covered.
Cooking
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test readiness by dropping a small piece of bread in; if it sizzles, the oil is ready.
- 5
Fry the Burrata
Gently place the breaded burrata into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
Assembly
- 6
Prepare the Salad
In a mixing bowl, combine the cherry tomatoes (halved) and arugula. Drizzle with truffle oil and toss gently.
- 7
Plate the Dish
On a serving plate, place the arugula and tomato salad, then add the fried burrata on top. Drizzle with pesto sauce and serve immediately.
