Method
Preparing the Fries
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Cut the Potatoes
Wash the potatoes thoroughly. Cut them into thin wedges or sticks, ensuring they are evenly sized for uniform cooking.
- 3
Season the Fries
In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, and paprika until they are well coated.
- 4
Bake the Fries
Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Making the Grilled Cheese
- 5
Butter the Bread
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- 6
Assemble the Sandwich
Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on a skillet over medium heat. Layer two slices of cheddar cheese on top. Place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side up.
- 7
Cook the Sandwich
Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden, about another 2-3 minutes.
- 8
Slice and Serve
Remove from the skillet, let cool for a minute, then slice the sandwich into triangles. Serve with the freshly baked fries.
