Method
Prepare the Filling
- 1
Mix the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the peeled shrimp, finely chopped bell pepper, shredded cabbage, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- 2
Chop the Shrimp
If the shrimp are large, chop them into smaller pieces to ensure they fit well in the dumpling wrappers.
Assemble the Dumplings
- 3
Fill the Wrappers
Place a dumpling wrapper on a clean, flat surface. Spoon about a tablespoon of the filling mixture into the center of the wrapper.
- 4
Seal the Dumplings
Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water. Fold the wrapper over to create a half-moon shape and press the edges together firmly to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Fry the Dumplings
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- 6
Fry the Dumplings
Carefully add the dumplings to the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- 7
Drain the Dumplings
Once fried, remove the dumplings from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve
- 8
Plate and Serve
Serve the fried shrimp dumplings hot with sweet mango chili sauce for dipping.
