Method

Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Form into two equal-sized patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Slice the tomato into thick slices.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Once the patties are cooked, place each patty on a burger bun. Top with lettuce and tomato slices. Cover with the top half of the bun.

Fries Directions

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.

  2. 6

    Season the Fries

In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.

  3. 7

    Bake the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the fries out on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
