Mashed Potatoes

Method

Prepare the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, then generously season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and rosemary.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C).

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the hot grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing or serving.

Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into equal-sized chunks. Place them in a large pot, cover with water, and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.

  2. 6

    Drain and Mash

Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy, adjusting the milk for desired consistency.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve the mashed potatoes alongside the grilled ribeye steak.
