Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

2

Prepare the Beef Patty

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into 4 equal patties.

3

Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the tomato and onion into thin rings. Wash and chop the lettuce. If using, slice the avocado and jalapeños.

Cooking

4

Cook the Beef Patties

In the same skillet used for bacon, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place cheddar cheese on top of the patties to melt.

5

Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns in a separate pan or on the grill until golden brown.

Assembly

6

Build Your Burger

On each toasted bun, start with a layer of lettuce, followed by the beef patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, sliced tomato, onion, pickles, and your choice of ketchup and mustard. If desired, add avocado, jalapeños, or barbecue sauce.

7

Serve

Place the top bun on the assembled burger and serve immediately with your choice of sides.
