Main Ingredients

Marinade & Seasoning

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and finely chopped fresh rosemary. Stir well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the ribeye steak in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is well coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450-500°F (232-260°C). This will ensure a good sear on the steak.

  2. 4

    Grill the Ribeye

Remove the ribeye from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, without moving it to achieve nice grill marks.

  3. 5

    Flip the Steak

Using tongs, flip the ribeye steak and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer it more done. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.

  4. 6

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

  5. 7

    Slice and Serve

Slice the ribeye against the grain and serve hot. Enjoy your perfectly grilled ribeye steak!
