Method

Ribs Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim any excess fat. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

Rub the ribs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.

  4. 4

    Wrap the Ribs

Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.

  5. 5

    Bake the Ribs

Bake the wrapped ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender.

BBQ Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Sauce

In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  2. 7

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.

Final Steps

  1. 8

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 9

    Glaze the Ribs

Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the foil. Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce over the ribs.

  3. 10

    Grill the Ribs

Place the ribs on the grill and cook for 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with more BBQ sauce until caramelized.

  4. 11

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the grill, let them rest for a few minutes, then cut between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
