Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into thick patties, ensuring they are slightly larger than the burger buns. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a flat top griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties on the griddle and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side without moving them.

  3. 3

    Flip and Add Cheese

Flip the patties and place two slices of American cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the griddle until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread 2 tablespoons of F&O special sauce. Place one cheesy patty on top, followed by a layer of house-made pickles. Add the second patty on top and finish with the top half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Tavern Burger immediately with your choice of sides.
