Crab Cake Ingredients

Method

Crab Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Crab Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the jumbo lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, green onions, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Gently fold the ingredients together, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  2. 2

    Form the Cakes

Once the mixture is well combined, add the bread crumbs and mix until just incorporated. Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick and 3 inches in diameter.

  3. 3

    Chill the Cakes

Place the formed crab cakes on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

  4. 4

    Cook the Cakes

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
