Steam Mussels
In a large pot, add water and bring to a boil. Place mussels in a steaming basket and steam for about 5-7 minutes or until all mussels open up. Discard any that remain closed.

Poach Shrimp
In a separate pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Drain and set aside.

Prepare Vegetables
Finely chop the Vidalia onion and the fresh parsley. Mix together in a bowl.

Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the steamed mussels, poached shrimp, confit octopus, Calabrian chilis, and the onion-parsley mixture. Toss gently.

Toast Panko
In a skillet, toast the panko breadcrumbs over medium heat until golden brown. Set aside to cool.

Serve
Spoon the seafood mixture onto a serving platter and sprinkle the toasted panko on top before serving.
