Furikake Fries Ingredients
Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into fries of desired thickness.
- 2
Soak the Fries
Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 3
Dry the Fries
Drain the fries and pat them dry with paper towels to ensure they are as dry as possible.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.
- 6
Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. While still hot, sprinkle with salt and furikake seasoning.
- 7
Serve
Serve the fries hot with a side of Skewpie mayonnaise for dipping.
