Method

Preparation of Coffee Mixture

  1. 1

    Brew Espresso

Brew 240 ml of strong espresso coffee and let it cool. If desired, mix in 60 ml of coffee liqueur for an extra kick.

Make Cream Filling

  1. 2

    Whip Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip 240 ml of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.

  2. 3

    Mix Egg Yolks and Sugar

In another bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks and 100 g of granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy.

  3. 4

    Combine Mascarpone

Add 500 g of mascarpone cheese and 1 tsp of vanilla extract to the egg yolk mixture. Mix until smooth and well combined.

  4. 5

    Fold in Whipped Cream

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated, being careful not to deflate the cream.

Assemble Tiramisu

  1. 6

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie (24 pieces) into the cooled espresso mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 7

    Layer Ingredients

In a rectangular dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers. Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over them. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining cream.

Chill and Serve

  1. 8

    Refrigerate

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

  2. 9

    Dust with Cocoa

Before serving, dust the top with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder for a finishing touch.
