Mojito Ingredients

Method

Mojito Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Muddle the Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass, place the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently muddle the mint leaves with the sugar to release the mint oils and create a fragrant mixture. Be careful not to tear the leaves too much.

  2. 2

    Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from one half into the glass with the mint and sugar mixture. Use a spoon to mix the ingredients together to ensure the sugar dissolves completely. You can also add some of the lime halves into the glass for extra flavor.

  3. 3

    Pour in the Rum

Add the white rum to the glass and stir gently to combine all the ingredients.

  4. 4

    Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top. This will help chill the drink and make it refreshing.

  5. 5

    Top with Club Soda

Pour the club soda over the ice, filling the glass to the rim. Give the drink a gentle stir to mix the club soda with the other ingredients without losing too much fizz.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish your Mojito with an extra sprig of mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately with a straw, and enjoy your refreshing cocktail!
