Fish Preparation

Cooking Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Branzino

Rinse the whole branzino under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Make three diagonal slashes on each side of the fish to allow for even cooking.

  3. 3

    Season the Fish

Rub the fish inside and out with sea salt and black pepper, ensuring it gets into the slashes.

Filling the Fish

  1. 4

    Prepare the Herb Filling

In a bowl, combine the chopped parsley and dill. Stuff this mixture inside the cavity of the branzino.

  2. 5

    Add Lemon Slices

Insert lemon slices into the cavity along with the herb mixture for added flavor.

Cooking

  1. 6

    Prepare for Baking

Place the stuffed branzino on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle olive oil over the top and sprinkle minced garlic evenly across the fish.

  2. 7

    Add White Wine (Optional)

If using, pour white wine around the fish on the baking sheet.

  3. 8

    Bake the Fish

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve the Branzino

Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve the whole branzino on a platter, garnished with additional fresh herbs and lemon wedges if desired.
