Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Spinach and Artichokes

If using canned artichokes, drain and chop them. If using frozen artichokes, thaw and chop them. Rinse and chop the fresh spinach.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Aromatics

In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until they are translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sautéed onion and garlic, chopped artichokes, spinach, cream cheese, sour cream, ¾ cup of Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Mix until well combined.

  2. 4

    Prepare Topping

In a separate small bowl, mix the remaining ¼ cup of Parmesan cheese with the bread crumbs. This will be used as a topping.

Baking

  1. 5

    Bake the Mixture

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the artichoke and spinach mixture into a baking dish. Spread evenly and sprinkle the breadcrumb topping over the top.

  2. 6

    Cook

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the dip is bubbly.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with tortilla chips, pita bread, or fresh vegetable sticks.
