Additional Ingredients

Method

Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, mix together ground lamb, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.

  2. 2

    Smash the Patties

Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Add the patties to the skillet and smash them down with a spatula to get a nice crust. Cook each side for about 4-5 minutes.

Balsamic Onion Jam

  1. 3

    Cook the Onions

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced red onions and a pinch of salt. Cook until the onions are softened, about 10 minutes.

  2. 4

    Add Balsamic and Sugar

Stir in balsamic vinegar and brown sugar. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for about 20-25 minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.

Tzatziki Sauce

  1. 5

    Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and chopped dill. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use.

Harissa Ketchup

  1. 6

    Combine Ketchup and Harissa

In a small bowl, mix together ketchup and harissa paste until well combined. Set aside.

Greek Potatoes

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, toss cubed potatoes with olive oil, dried oregano, lemon juice, and salt.

  2. 8

    Bake the Potatoes

Spread the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 9

    Build the Burger

On each burger bun, place a smashed lamb patty, top with balsamic onion jam, a dollop of tzatziki, a spoonful of harissa ketchup, and a sprinkle of crumbled feta cheese. Close the bun and serve.
