Chicken Marinade

Tzatziki Sauce

For Grilling

Method

Chicken Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the boneless chicken breast into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large bowl.

  2. 2

    Make the Marinade

In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic (from 4 cloves), oregano, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Marinate the Chicken

Pour the marinade over the chicken pieces. Mix well to ensure all chicken pieces are coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.

Tzatziki Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Cucumber

Grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel.

  2. 5

    Mix the Tzatziki Sauce

In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic (from 1 clove), olive oil, lemon juice, chopped fresh dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. 6

    Chill the Sauce

Cover the tzatziki sauce and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Grilling the Chicken

  1. 7

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 8

    Prepare Skewers

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.

  3. 9

    Assemble the Skewers

Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.

  4. 10

    Grill the Chicken

Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

Serving

  1. 11

    Serve

Serve the chicken souvlaki warm with the tzatziki sauce on the side for dipping.
