Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it's hot enough to crisp the bacon.
- 2
Prepare the Dates
Make a small slit in each Medjool date, remove the pit if not already pitted, and optionally stuff each date with an almond or a small amount of goat cheese.
- 3
Wrap with Bacon
Take one slice of bacon and wrap it around each stuffed date. Secure the end of the bacon with a toothpick if necessary.
Cooking
- 4
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Place the bacon-wrapped dates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they are not touching each other.
- 5
Bake the Dates
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
- 6
Drizzle with Glaze
Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic glaze, if using, while they are still hot.
- 7
Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with fresh parsley for garnish and serve warm as an appetizer.
