Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent. Add the chicken thighs and cook until browned. Stir in cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, cumin, salt, and pepper. Pour in chicken broth, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

Assemble the Bastilla
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Lay one sheet of phyllo pastry on a greased baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and layer another sheet on top. Repeat until you have 4 layers. Spoon the chicken filling into the center and fold the pastry edges over the filling to form a pie. Use remaining phyllo sheets to cover the top, brushing each layer with butter.

Bake the Pie
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and ground cinnamon.
