Ravioli and Sauce Ingredients

Method

Preparation and Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Make the Pasta Dough

On a clean surface, create a mound with the flour and make a well in the center. Crack the eggs into the well, and add salt. Gradually mix the flour into the eggs using a fork until a dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, gently mix the burrata cheese with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Roll Out the Dough

After resting, divide the dough into four pieces. Roll each piece out into thin sheets using a pasta machine or a rolling pin.

  5. 5

    Form the Ravioli

On one sheet of pasta, place small mounds of the burrata filling about 2 inches apart. Brush the edges with water, then place another sheet of pasta on top and press down to seal. Cut into squares or circles.

  6. 6

    Cook the Ravioli

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the ravioli and cook for 3-4 minutes or until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.

  7. 7

    Prepare the Sauce

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add cherry tomatoes and cook until they begin to burst, about 5-7 minutes. Add fresh basil and season with salt and pepper.

  8. 8

    Combine and Serve

Gently toss the cooked ravioli with the cherry tomato sauce. Serve warm, garnished with more fresh basil if desired.
