Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Veal

Season the veal cutlets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Breading Station

Set up a breading station with three shallow plates: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.

  3. 3

    Bread the Veal

Dredge each veal cutlet in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.

  4. 4

    Fry the Cutlets

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded veal cutlets for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, spread a layer of tomato sauce, place the fried veal cutlets on top, then add more tomato sauce over the cutlets. Top with sliced mozzarella cheese.

  6. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and serve hot.
