Meatballs

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Meatball Mixture

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Wet your hands to prevent sticking and form the mixture into meatballs, about the size of a golf ball. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Meatballs

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake the meatballs in the oven for about 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and browned.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Tomato Sauce

While the meatballs are baking, in a large saucepan, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 15 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Once the meatballs are done, add them to the tomato sauce and let them simmer together for an additional 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
