Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Coffee Mixture
In a bowl, combine the brewed espresso coffee with the coffee liqueur. Stir well and set aside to cool.

Make the Mascarpone Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks and granulated sugar until pale and creamy. Add in the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
- 3
Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.

Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not overly soggy. Layer them at the bottom of a 9x9 inch dish.
- 5
Layer the Mixture
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers, smoothing it out evenly.
- 6
Repeat Layers
Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture. Smooth the top with a spatula.
