Clean the Octopus
Rinse the octopus under cold water to remove any grit or sand. Make sure to clean the insides thoroughly. If the octopus is not already cleaned, you may need to remove the beak and any innards.

Boil the Water
In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a rolling boil over high heat. Adding a tablespoon of salt can help enhance the flavor of the octopus while boiling.

Drain and Cool
After cooking, remove the octopus from the pot using tongs and place it on a cutting board. Allow it to cool slightly before cutting.

Slice and Season
Once the octopus has cooled enough to handle, slice it into bite-sized pieces. Arrange the slices on a serving platter. Drizzle with 50ml of olive oil, sprinkle with paprika, and add salt to taste.

Serve the octopus warm or at room temperature as a delicious appetizer or main dish. Enjoy with crusty bread or over a bed of greens.
