Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meat

Cut the pork tenderloin and beef sirloin into small cubes, approximately 2 cm in size.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the onion and tomatoes, mince the garlic, and slice the bell pepper.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into fry shapes, soaking them in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the potato fries and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on a paper towel, then season with salt.

  2. 5

    Cook the Meat

In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork and beef cubes, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides.

  3. 6

    Add the Vegetables

Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, sliced bell pepper, and chopped tomatoes to the skillet. Stir and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the vegetables are soft.

  4. 7

    Add the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle paprika, cumin, and chili powder over the mixture, stirring well to combine.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Serve the sautéed pork, beef, and shrimp mixture over a bed of crispy french fries. Enjoy your Picadinho à “Fernandes” hot!
