Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and thinly slice them. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Chop the Parsley

Finely chop the fresh parsley leaves and set aside for garnishing.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Chicken

Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes on the other side until cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 6

    Cook the Garlic

In the same skillet, add the sliced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden, being careful not to burn it.

  4. 7

    Combine and Finish

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, and if desired, add lemon juice and red pepper flakes. Toss the chicken in the garlic sauce for 1-2 minutes until well coated.

  5. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the skillet from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
