Lobster Tails

Method

Preparing the Lobster Tails

  1. 1

    Clean the Lobster Tails

Rinse the lobster tails under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Using kitchen shears, cut down the top shell of each lobster tail, stopping just before the tail fin. Carefully pull the meat out and lay it on top of the shell.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Lobster

In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Brush the mixture generously over the lobster tails, ensuring the meat is well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

  4. 4

    Grill the Lobster Tails

Place the lobster tails shell-side down on the grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, then flip them over and grill for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through.

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 5

    Boil the Pasta

While the lobster is grilling, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes).

  2. 6

    Prepare the Sauce

If using vodka sauce, heat it in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through. If using butter, melt the butter in a separate pan and keep it warm.

  3. 7

    Serve the Dish

Drain the pasta and toss it with the vodka sauce or melted butter. Plate the pasta and top with the grilled lobster tails. Garnish with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil as desired.
