Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Seasoning the Steak

Generously season the Certified Angus Beef ® Cowboy Steak with kosher salt and black pepper on both sides. Ensure that the seasoning covers the entire surface of the meat.

  2. 2

    Adding Flavor

Rub the steak with olive oil, making sure to coat it evenly. Then, sprinkle garlic powder and fresh rosemary over the steak, pressing them gently into the meat to adhere.

  3. 3

    Resting the Steak

Allow the seasoned steak to rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling. This helps to bring the meat to an even temperature and enhances flavor.

Grilling Instructions

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to a high heat, around 450°F (232°C) to 500°F (260°C). Ensure the grill grates are clean and well-oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 5

    Cooking the Steak

Place the steak on the hot grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust time based on desired doneness.

  3. 6

    Resting the Steak Again

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for at least 10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

Optional Sides Preparation

  1. 7

    Preparing Corn on the Cob

Soak the corn in water for about 30 minutes before grilling. Grill the corn on the cob for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally.

  2. 8

    Baking Potatoes

Prick the baked potatoes with a fork and wrap them in foil. Place them on the grill alongside the steak for about 30-40 minutes, turning occasionally.

  3. 9

    Grilling Vegetable Medley

Toss the vegetable medley in olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill in a vegetable basket or wrapped in foil for about 10-15 minutes, until tender.
