Shrimp

Crab Meat Filling

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Make a slit along the back of each shrimp to create a pocket for stuffing.

  2. 2

    Season the Shrimp

In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Brush this mixture onto the prepared shrimp. Set aside to marinate while you prepare the filling.

Crab Meat Filling

  1. 3

    Mix the Filling

In a medium bowl, combine the flaked crab meat, softened cream cheese, chopped green onions, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

  2. 4

    Stuff the Shrimp

Carefully stuff each shrimp pocket with the crab meat filling, ensuring they are filled generously but not overflowing.

Topping and Baking

  1. 5

    Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and melted butter. Mix until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

  2. 6

    Top the Shrimp

Place the stuffed shrimp on a baking dish and sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top of each shrimp.

  3. 7

    Bake

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the shrimp are opaque and the topping is golden brown.

  4. 8

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
