Cooking Instructions
1. Prepare the Bread
Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of Texas toast.
2. Assemble the Sandwich
Place a slice of Texas toast, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium heat. Add 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top, and then place another slice of Texas toast on top, buttered side up.
3. Grill the Sandwich
Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom slice is golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until the second side is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
4. Serve
Remove the grilled cheese from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then cut in half and serve warm.
