Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 2
Marinate the Halibut
Place the halibut fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish. Make sure the fillets are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to soak in.
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 4
Prepare the Baking Sheet
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent the fish from sticking.
- 5
Bake the Halibut
Remove the halibut from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- 6
Prepare the Glaze
Meanwhile, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, until slightly thickened.
- 7
Serve
Once the halibut is done baking, remove it from the oven. Drizzle the thickened glaze over the fish and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately.
