Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the boneless chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, mix cornstarch with a bit of salt and pepper.
Cooking
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, then dip into the egg, and finally coat with the cornstarch mixture. Ensure all pieces are well-coated.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add the breaded chicken pieces to the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- 6
Drain the Chicken
Remove the chicken wings from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Saucing
- 7
Prepare the Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the hot sauce for a spicy option, or mix in Sweet Honey BBQ for a sweeter flavor. For Parmesan Garlic, add grated Parmesan cheese to melted butter and toss with cooked wings.
- 8
Toss the Wings
In a mixing bowl, combine the fried chicken wings with your choice of sauce. Toss until well-coated.
Serving
- 9
Plate the Wings
Serve the boneless wings hot with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
