Method

Fried Chicken Strips

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast fillets into strips of even size, about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, mix buttermilk with a pinch of salt and pepper. Add chicken strips and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Breading

In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  4. 4

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each marinated chicken strip in the flour mixture, then into beaten eggs, and back into the flour mixture, ensuring a good coating.

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the chicken strips in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Texas Toast

  1. 6

    Prepare the Toast

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 7

    Butter the Bread

Spread softened butter on both sides of each slice of thick-cut bread. Sprinkle garlic powder and parsley (if using) on top.

  3. 8

    Toast the Bread

Place the buttered slices on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through.

Pickle Spears

  1. 9

    Prepare the Pickles

Slice the large dill pickles into spears.

Sauces

  1. 10

    Serve the Sauces

Choose your preferred sauces from Jalapeño Ranch or BOB sauce and serve in small bowls for dipping.
