Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 16 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add 8 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot, ensuring not to squeeze them to avoid bitterness.

Cool the Tea
Let the tea cool to room temperature. You can speed this process by placing the pot in a sink filled with cold water.

Once the tea is cooled, transfer it to a gallon jug or container and refrigerate until chilled.

When ready to serve, pour the chilled tea over ice in glasses.
