Method

Fritters

  1. 1

    Prepare the Batter

In a large mixing bowl, combine sweet corn kernels, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.

  2. 2

    Add Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and eggs. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Fritters

Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Cinnamon Sugar

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well combined.

  2. 6

    Coat the Fritters

While the fritters are still warm, toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.

Maple Butter

  1. 7

    Prepare the Maple Butter

In a small bowl, beat the unsalted butter until creamy. Add in the pure maple syrup and mix until well combined and smooth.
