Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Cutting the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into uniform sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Soaking the Potatoes

Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and soak them for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Drying the Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels to remove moisture.

  4. 4

    Frying the Potatoes

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the dried potato sticks in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-6 minutes.

  5. 5

    Seasoning the Fries

Remove the fries from the oil and drain them on paper towels. While still hot, season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to taste.

Preparing the Wagyu Topping

  1. 6

    Seasoning the Wagyu

Season the American Wagyu steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 7

    Grilling the Wagyu

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Grill the Wagyu steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches the desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  3. 8

    Sautéing the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms, onions, and sweet bell peppers. Sauté over medium heat until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 9

    Assembling the Wagyu Fries

On a large serving platter, layer the crispy fries. Top with sliced Wagyu steak, sautéed vegetables, and sprinkle shredded white American cheese evenly over the top.
